snowflake in my retina


January, 2009, just a few hours after his cataract surgery, as happy as can be....

On the way to the car, in a famous Spring mini-blizzard a little voice rings out,
"Mommy!!! A snowflake got in my retina"

Caillou! you are welcome Caillou!....you are welcome...God bless you!...muscles! oh boy....I will get you outta there, bottom bottom what you do bottom, what you do want? what do you want? mommy daddy, mommy, daddy, sing un....carrots! carrots!...I get big every day!...it pop, you know that?....yo gabba gabba yo yo yo yo yo gabba gabba....yo yo...hi I am Anthony, my teacher is Miss Katie, Miss Katie (x 20)....Miss Katie? What Miss Katie?....(now singing) Miss Katie! she's takin' a shower, shower shower all day long...daddy's at work...hey, stop....what's goin on? Magic (our dog) is in the shower, mouse stop!...zoom! air goes in trachea into lungs...and a cornea....they don't talk, they don't....no eye drops!!....yellow yellow, orange orange....Anthony, a big boy...quesadilla diarrhea, poop blue?....treach-adilla....blood cells....billy's daddy, billy is a daddy...retinas! retina! orange orange...red and green and they green....they pink and (yawn)...(whispering something, it sounds sinister)....hmmmm show and tell.....mommy....."

Again, obsessed with the body book. Some kids like dinosaurs, he likes body parts.
